President/CEO

Walter K. Neil is the President and CEO of Franklin Loan Center, the largest independent mortgage banking company in the Coachella Valley, located in Palm Desert, California.

Walter began his career in the mortgage industry, originating loans in 2000. He has personally originated over $1.36 billion in volume and has helped 4,347 families. He has overseen the production of $8.5 billion and 20,200 families served.

Since becoming CEO/President in 2006, Walter has expanded Franklin from a small mortgage broker to a thriving regional mortgage banker. Franklin has positioned itself with a dynamic product offering of over 32 loan products, licensed in 29 states, and counting, with over 95% of our loans originated with in-house processing, underwriting and funding. Under Walter's leadership, Franklin has been able to obtain its agency seller approval through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. As CEO and President, Walter continues to originate loans.

In addition to his role at Franklin, Walter is the founder of the Light House Fund, a fund that provides capital to underserved borrowers. He recently completed his term as President of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), a global leadership community of chief executives, and remains actively involved with the organization.

Walter graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Business Administration. He is married with three beautiful children (two girls and one boy) which keep him and his wife very busy.
